Ho Shou Wu is Polygonum multiflorum. This is the premier longevity-rejuvenation-anti-aging herb in Chinese medicine. It affects the kidney, blood, bones, endocrine system, fertility, and virility – you can quadruple the sperm count of a man in a month. It makes your hair and fingernails grow thick and fast, and can reverse gray hair. It’s an amazing herb. I had an experience with a mid-to-Iate-thirties customer who, for whatever reason, maybe because she was working a lot, had run-down adrenal glands. So we just started her on one herb, Ho Shou Wu, which is $22 for a bottle, and put her on a decent dose. In a week she told me that her goiter had gone away.
I am very frustrated because he’s always eaten raw food (my vet doesn’t approve of that, BTW). If I take him back to her, I’m sure she’s going to suggest some Science Diet garbage and I don’t want to go that route. I am working under the assumption that this CANNOT be a grain allergy because his food has always been grain-free. I am also assuming that it’s a chicken allergy, because that is one of the most common allergens and also the variety I’ve fed him the most often (probably too often, in retrospect, I should have been rotating more frequently).
